The following training courses are recommended for clients who will be using the Troux Architect™ tool. Training customized to the unique needs of clients can also be provided.

Troux Architect Essentials
This course prepares the student to use and create models in Troux Architect and is a prerequisite to more advanced Troux Architect courses.

Prerequisites - Basic computer skills required, knowledge of modeling concepts recommended.

Course Length - Three days, or 3 web-based delivery sessions.

Troux Architect Advanced Applications
This course teaches advanced topics and builds on the Troux Architect Essentials course to give the student additional, practical hands-on modeling experience.

Prerequisites - Completion of 111 Troux Architect Essentials required.

Troux Architect Development
This custom course focuses on advanced development of custom applications using or integrating with the Troux Architect product.

Troux Optimization
This hands-on course teaches the concepts, features, and functions of Troux Applications from a best practices perspective. This methodology includes application portfolio data capture and analysis, lifecycle management, opportunity optimization analysis and change impact analysis.

Prerequisites - Basic IT business operations knowledge and computer experience, completion of 125 Troux Fundamentals recommended.

This hands-on course teaches the concepts, features, and functions of Troux Standards from a best practices perspective. Architects and Standards Managers learn a methodology for standards analysis, cataloging, planning, management, and auditing.

Troux eaGov
This two-day course teaches students how to use the Troux eaGov product that is aligned with the Federal Enterprise Architecture Reference Models. Students are introduced to the eaGov Semantics template that directly addresses the modeling needs of federal agencies in accordance with federally mandated enterprise architecture requirements.

Prerequisites - Prior completion of courses 125 Troux Fundamentals and 111 Troux Architect Essentials required.

Troux Alignment
This hands-on course teaches the concepts, features, and functions of Troux Alignment from a best practices perspective. Business Analysts learn how to manage and update Troux Alignment data to maximize its business value. Executives learn how to use the Troux Alignment reports to reduce costs and increase spending effectiveness by improving the alignment between IT spending and business objectives.

Prerequisites - Basic IT business operations knowledge and computer experience, completion of 125 Troux Fundamentals recommended.

Troux Metaverse Courses
The following training courses are recommended for learning how to use the reporting functions in the Troux Intelligence reporting offerings. Course 329 covers the fully integrated, standard Troux Reporting framework. Additional courses are available for Troux clients who use the Business Objects or Cognos third-party reporting toolkits

Troux Fundamentals
This course provides an introduction to Troux Transformation Platform's capabilities, functions, and interfaces, and it gives teams new to Troux Transformation Platform a common vocabulary for deployment in their organization. The course includes presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises. It provides initial experiences with Troux Transformation Platform for business users, enterprise architects, administrators, and developers.

Prerequisites - Basic computer skills required, knowledge of modeling concepts recommended.

Developing Troux Composer Portals
This course prepares developers to create Troux Composer-based portals and to manage role-based deployments of the Troux Portal. Through hands-on lab experience, administrators learn how to configure, manage, and maintain customized portals for role-based information delivery.

Course Length - Two days, or 3 web-based delivery sessions.

Developing Troux Collection
In this hands-on lab course, students learn to develop programmatic methods of data collection, classification, data cleansing, data qualification, and automatic relationship assignment using Troux Collection, Troux's automated and agentless Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) solution. The technology is source agnostic, working within any existing environment. This course focuses on collecting from typical data sources based on SQL, Excel, Access and POI-based data sources.

Prerequisites - Completion of 111 Troux Architect Essentials, 125 Troux Fundamentals, or equivalent experience, required. An understanding of SQL and XML data structures recommended.

Course Length - One day, or 2 web-based delivery sessions.

Troux Metaverse Administration
This course teaches the best practice methods, skills, and techniques for efficient administration of Troux Metaverse and Team Server (collectively known as the Troux Transformation Platform). This course is also recommended to prepare individuals for a role as a System Manager.

Prerequisites - Completion of 125 Troux Fundamentals or equivalent experience required.

Course Length - One Day, or 2 web-based delivery sessions.

In this self paced hands-on course, administrators and developers learn how to manage the metamodels in Troux Architect and the Troux Metaverse.

Prerequisites - Completion of 125 Troux Fundamentals or 111 Troux Architect Essentials course required. Completion of 221 Troux Metaverse Administration recommended.

Course Length - One Half Day.

This course prepares the student to model their corporations' strategic plans using the Troux Initiatives product, which enables EA teams to systematically and deliberately plan and drive enterprise-class transformation projects.

Prerequisites - Basic computer skills required, completion of both 111 Troux Architect Essentials and 125 Troux Fundamentals is recommended.

Course Length - Two days, or 3 web-based delivery sessions.

Troux Intelligence Courses

This hands-on lab course focuses on development of infrastructure that enables business users to be able to do ad-hoc, drag-and-drop reporting, a part of the Troux Intelligence feature within Troux's EA platform, an integration of Cognos ReportNet™ or Business Objects Web Intelligence technology.

Prerequisites - Completion of 125 Troux Fundamentals or equivalent experience required. A deep understanding of reporting systems, datamart design and SQL recommended.

This hands-on lab course focuses on using the open-source BIRT (Business Intelligence Reporting Toolkit) Designer application in concert with the integrated Troux Reporting framework to develop high-quality visual reports within the Troux Transformation platform. The course focuses on presenting information in textual, tabular, columnar, and graphical formats and on delivering reports in multiple formats, such as HTML, PDF, MS Word, and MS Excel.

Prerequisites - Completion of 125 Troux Fundamentals or equivalent experience required. A deep understanding of reporting systems and SQL recommended.

Onsite Workshops
An onsite workshop can accelerate your ability to be self-sufficient with Troux Architect and Troux Transformation Platform and produce real work product at the same time. In the spirit of teaching you to fish for yourself, an experienced Troux trainer or consultant will work with your developers as they create and deploy projects in your environment. Your staff is guided in applying what they have learned in the classroom to real issues in your real environment. Your organization will gain new development work product.

Prerequisites - Students must complete all related training programs before participating in a Workshop.

Course Length - Variable, minimum of two days

Mentoring Services
When Troux users return to work after training, the completion of their first deployment or development assignments can solidify that knowledge and ensure the overall success of the project. Troux Mentoring Services provide your staff with the continued support and advice on hand - with just enough information, just when it's needed - guiding them through their first modeling, metamodeling, reporting, data collection, or other assignments.

Prerequisites - Students must complete all related training programs before taking on a Mentor.

Course Length - Minimum of 20 hours. A typical mentorship will include multiple sessions per week for four to eight weeks.
