Executive. Biography.
David Hood
Chief Executive Officer

David Hood has served as Troux’s Chief Executive Officer and Director since August 2007.  David brings more than 30 years of technology experience in a diverse set of leadership roles with a wide range of firms including AT&T, Cisco, Dell, BeVocal and most recently NetSolve. Leading the company’s strategic direction, planning and execution, David is responsible for accelerating Troux’s growth and advancing Troux’s position as the industry leader in IT and business transformation.

Prior to joining Troux, David served as CEO of NetSolve from 2002 until the company was acquired by Cisco in 2004.  David remained with Cisco as General Manager of the NetSolve division. At NetSolve, he established the company as the leading provider of IT infrastructure management services, materially increasing revenue and market value.  Previously, David was CEO of BeVocal, a voice recognition software startup in Mountain View, CA. Executive positions at Dell and AT&T round out David’s experience in developing and managing technology companies.

David holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois and an MBA in Finance from Xavier College.  He is also a Director on the board of Entrepreneurs Foundation and Boundless Network.

Jan H. Lindelow

Jan Lindelow is an active, independent director of several promising enterprises, primarily in the high technology industry. Lindelow has extensive experience managing global, multi-billion dollar businesses as well as smaller, entrepreneurial companies.

Lindelow joined IBM/Tivoli in June 1997 and served as Chairman and CEO of Tivoli Systems, Inc. until Spring of 2001. He then became Vice President, Emerging Business Development for IBM Corporation until leaving IBM at the end of June 2002. Prior to joining IBM/Tivoli, he was President and COO of Symbol Technologies. Before Symbol, he served in senior positions in the power transmission and industrial systems segments of Asea Brown Boveri (ABB). At Unisys/Sperry Computer Systems, Lindelow was President of Worldwide Sales and Services. He joined Sperry in his native Sweden where he subsequently became President of Sperry’s Nordic Group in 1980 before moving with his family to the US in 1982.

Lindelow lives in Austin, Texas and serves on the board of directors of public companies Active Power, Inc. (Nasdaq: ACPW) and Vignette Corporation (Nasdaq: VIGN; chair); privately held Credant Technologies, Inc., HyPerformix, Inc. (chair) and Troux Technologies, Inc. as well as the board of the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce-USA, Inc. (past chair).

Lindelow has an MS in engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.

Tom Bogan

Tom Bogan joined Greylock in 2004. His areas of focus include software and development tools.

Before Greylock, Tom was president and COO of Rational Software, an S&P 500 enterprise software company from 2000 until its sale to IBM in 2003. He previously had served Rational as its COO and general manager of its testing business from 1996 to 2000. Prior to Rational, Tom was president and CEO of two early stage technology companies that focused on networking and peripheral products Pacific Data Products (1993 to 1996) and Avatar Technologies (1987 to 1993). Before Avatar, his background was in finance and he served as a financial officer in public and private companies as well as positions in public accounting.

Tom's investments consist of Awareness Networks, ClearForest (Acquired by Reuters), iConclude (Acquired by Opsware), Mazu Networks, OATSystems, Ounce Labs, Simply Continuous and Troux Technologies. He also serves as the Chairman of Citrix Systems and is a trustee of Stonehill College. He was previously a director of several public and private companies including eRoom Technologies and MecaSoftware.

Tom is a graduate of Stonehill College.

Chris Pacitti
General Partner
Austin Ventures

Chris Pacitti, Austin Ventures General Partner, joined AV in 1999 and focuses on software investing. Previously, Chris was with TL Ventures, where he was a vice president. Prior to TL Ventures, Chris was a co-founder and chief operating officer of a technology start-up company that pioneered several industrial applications for a novel oxidizing chemistry.

Chris has worked with companies such AV portfolio companies as Bazaarvoice, BetweenMarkets, CREDANT Technologies, FameCast, FiveRuns, Hire.com, ON Networks, Permeo Technologies, Pluck, Powered, Troux Technologies, Vovici and Worksoft.

Chris received his BA in economics from Johns Hopkins University. He is a member of the Microsoft Venture Capital Advisory Board and the Entrepreneur's Foundation Board.
